1. The Short Term Training imparted at AIIMSD is expected to benefit candidates of Indian nationality who are either school/college dropouts or unemployed.
  2. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
  3. To encourage and facilitate skill training for youth of India.
  4. To monitor generation of employment in different sectors.
  5. To facilitate launching of training programmes for both uneducated and educated unemployed persons for up-gradation of their skills.
  6. To achieving the above objectives for maximizing the benefits over time and space and in reaching out the most needy sections of the population.

Roles & Responsibilities

Ensuring Quality of training:-
  1. The entire skill development value chain will be made IT enabled to ensure online real time monitoring, collated reporting, effective and efficient decision making, reduced turnaround time for various processes etc.
  2. Ensuring Quality of skill training across the trainee life cycle.
  3. Ensuring retention of beneficiaries in training program through the provision of a refundable security deposit for training.
  4. Market relevant and demand driven courses.
  5. Sectoral specific Boards to advise on updation of course curriculum and suggest on improving training, quality of trainers, placements etc.
  6. High inclusivity.
  7. Mobilization and Registration of Candidates through a penetrative communication and mobilization campaign to ensure registration of an appropriate number of target candidates in the country.
  8. Implementation of innovative models and best practices.

Dynamic and demand-based system planning:- AIIMSD  support the  supply  of  trained  workers  who  are  trained in market driven and industry relevant courses.  The skill development overarching system would comprise of standardized processes and frameworks to ensure quality of training.

Increasing Employability and ensuring generation of a sustained livelihood:- Increasing the employability of the youth of India through an exclusive endeavour of training in support competencies like communication skills,Personlity Development ,English and basic computer literacy.

Counseling & Placement Assistance:- Post training placement support in domain specific training to ensure that the trained beneficiaries get an opportunity for generating sustained livelihood. To facilitate generation of adequate employment opportunities through a policy frame work. AIIMSD to link the aptitude, aspiration, and knowledge of the skilled workforce it creates with employment opportunities and demands in the market. Every effort thereby needs to be made by the AIIMSD to provide placement opportunities to candidates, trained and certified under the Scheme. AIIMSD provide support to entrepreneurship development.
